Can all dents be fixed with PDR? No. Large, collision type damage where more than just the outer panel is bent are usually not repairable. Also, badly stretched dents are not good candidates for PDR.
What kind of dents can be fixed? Door dings, minor dents, many larger dents, many bodyline dents, creases, hail damage.
Does it matter who does the repair? YES! The training and continuous dedication of the technician determines the results. It has less to do with their years of experience.
What is the largest dent that can be fixed with PDR? It really depends on the nature of the dent. Some very large dents can be fixed with PDR, others can’t. We are happy to look at the damage either with a picture or in person to help you decide what the best option is for you and your vehicle.
Can hail damage be repaired? Yes. There are many, many vehicles with hail damage that are successfully repaired every year.
Can all hail damage be repaired? No. Hail damage that is badly stretched or that has cracked the paint is not recommended for PDR.
Do insurance companies recognize PDR? Yes. Insurance companies recognize the benefits of PDR, and many times will recommend PDR.
What if the paint is cracked or scratched? Two options here. First, after we remove the dent, the customer can use touch-up paint to repair the paint. Second, if the customer doesn’t like the first option, then we recommend going with the traditional body shop method and having the panel repainted. We can recommend a good body shop if you like. BE AWARE! Sometimes people think their paint is missing but it really isn’t. It just looks like it because there is some transfer paint on their car.
Do you accept insurance? Yes we do. However, customers don’t usually involve their insurance because our repair is usually less than their deductible.
How long does the repair take? Most repairs take 30 minutes to two hours depending on the difficulty of the dent.
Are you mobile? Yes. We can come to your home or work place. Not all businesses allow vendors to work on their property however.
How much does it cost to have a dent removed? A one inch dent is usually around $100. If it is real sharp, deep, or on a bodyline, then the price goes up accordingly. The average for most repairs is around $150.
Does PDR weaken the metal? No.
Will the dent come back? No.
Can I wash my car right after the repair? Yes. We preserve the factory finish, you can wash it immediately.
Can dents on bodylines be repaired? Yes. Many can.
What if my car has been repainted in the past? We can still repair it. Sometimes it limits the methods we can use, but it’s usually not a problem.
How are the dents repaired? We repair most dents by getting a specialized tool on the backside of the dent and working the metal back to its original position without harming the paint.
Does the location of the dent make a difference? Yes. Access to the back of the dent is key to repair most dents. We are also very skilled in the use of a pull method, but not all dents are good candidates for it. Let us help you in this regard. Do you fix dents in bumpers? Dents in plastic bumpers can sometimes be pushed out if they are folded in on the corners, but they rarely come out perfect after being folded in and creased. The paint is many times damaged. If you’re just looking to get rid of the eyesore and have it pushed out, we can help. If you need more than that, we can recommend a good body shop. If you have a metal bumper, like those on most trucks, I can recommend someone that specializes in bumper repair that does a great job.
Can dents in aluminum panels be repaired with PDR? Yes.
Do you repair dents in classic cars? No. Not Usually. Classic cars have a heavier-gauge metal. They often have been restored and have bondo in the panels which makes them poor candidates for paintless dent removal.
